Texture and material construction: Bronco is a “larger than beginner size” plug perfect for a little extra stretch or for getting ready for anal sex. It is a gently tapered and has a rounded cone shape, with a maximum width of 1.75 inches and a ~1.25 inch thick neck to create a fuller sensation for the anal sphincter. It’s made from Tantus’ usual platinum-cured silicone, and is only available in black unless the butt plug genies at Tantus grant you a Grab Bag wish, which is beyond the scope of this review. Being made from top-quality silicone, it doesn't have a taste or smell unless it's recently been in a butt, in which case it will smell like butt until you sterilize it. Toy cleaners and soap/water occasionally.

Review Details: In use: Well-lubricated with water-based gel, this plug still provides a stretch for me starting at about the 1.25 inch diameter part. I’m able to ease it in eventually, with enough gentle teasing, twirling, and applying slow, even pressure. The tip is a bit pointier than I’d usually like, but this design is excellent for warming up to larger sizes comfortably. During insertion, I found that the slender tip wasn’t among my favorite sensations; it felt poky and hard even when I was warmed up with another toy (Doc Johnson Mood Naughty 2, Large) first. Aside from the tip’s initial unforgiving pokiness, the conical, tapered design helped to get the rest of the toy in comfortably.

My primary complaint about this toy is that it will try to slip out whenever it’s not being held or pushed in. For people who like constant pressure, or wear butt toy retaining harnesses, or like the sensation of a toy slipping out and pushed back in, this could be a wonderful thing. For pairing with vaginal penetration, it can be tiresome to keep holding the plug in the butt, or constantly readjusting and pushing it into place again. Larger insertables, such as the Vixen Randy or Tantus Vamp, are more likely to make the Bronco start slipping out. Orgasms are likely to shoot this toy across the room unless it’s held in place.

The base is also fairly wide and squared off at the bottom, unlikely to poke you or your other toys during play but possibly unwieldy for some configurations of butt cheeks. Narrow or deep clefts could find the base too wide or blocky for comfortable wear, and I suspect that the toy’s outline would be easily visible through certain clothes like tight jeans or thin material.

Pros: Excellent size for upgrading from beginner plugs, feels amazing when it’s fully in.

Cons: Poky at the tip, can slip or shoot out of the butt at inopportune moments, wide square base.
