The quality appears to be good, after taking a close look the stockings seem to be well made. No stitching or fabric issues. Easy to put on and with the hook and eye fastening at the top, the zip glides up smoothly. Plenty of stretch in the material means a comfortable fit around my generous size 16 thighs. However, as I have short legs (I’m 5”4’ with a long torso) they come up to my crotch, so are slightly on the long side for me. Saying that, it’s an issue for me with most stockings and gives only a slight wrinkle at the back. They may roll down on someone with nice straight legs, as the have no silicone band, but with the top high on my curvy thighs they seem to stay in place. I do still use these stockings with suspenders though, as I wear together with a wet look basque. Be aware that the foot/ankle part of the stocking is black mesh type material. Personally I find this contrast in material pleasing, especially paired with high heeled shoes. It was one of the plus points that finally persuaded me to try wet look stockings. Overall, very pleased with this purchase, but the fit will depend on size, shape and length of legs.

Wet look Stockings

I'm an athletic build 14/16, 5'8" and these stockings are just long enough to reach to the top of the thigh. The material looks nicely shiny. The foot area of the stocking is made from an almost opaque tights material. It does look a bit weird at first. Shoes or boots will detract from it a bit and I guess it's not as hot to wear for the foot area. Just need to take care when putting on. The zip looks good, a nice touch. The hook and eye at the back is a bit awkward when dressing alone but does the job. I got a good reaction from the Playmate, wanting them to be left on ;) . He's a shiny-materials newbie, so liked how they looked and felt. However they will slip down when you move around and when things get active. In the end I yanked them off as the Nora Batty thing was taking the edge off the horny look, for me. I agree with the previous reviewer that the addition of a holdup strip would be beneficial. However, to avoid the cost and dressing issues of latex, these are a sexy, cost-effective alternative.

A bit of a letdown

I've always been attracted to shiny things, and I am also a big fan of sexy lingerie. So it is no surprise that I find shiny lingerie to be one of my ultimate turn-ons. I imagine the same applies to many men. Knowing me as well as she does, Mrs S has accumulated quite a collection of latex and PVC which she likes to put on as special treat for me. For some reason however, we have never tried any "wet look" clothing before. At this point I should probably mention that Mrs S already owns a pair of latex stockings which are, without question, the sexiest thing in the world - and that's before she's even put them on! The trouble is that they take forever to get on, and by the time we've managed it (and it usually requires both of us), Mrs S is so hot and sweaty that she can't wait to take them off again. So we thought that wet look stockings would be an ideal replacement - all the shiny goodness, with none of the dressing drama. So did they live up to expectations? Well, first impressions were good. They are shiny. They are sexy. And Mrs S got into them in record time.There is a little hook and eye at the top of the stockings which helps to keep them in place while you do the zip up. A nice touch, but despite this you have to be very careful with the zip to make sure you don't nip yourself. Once on, I have to admit that they looked almost as good as latex. I say "almost as good" because they aren't as smooth and flawless as you would expect from latex or PVC. Up close, you can see the weave of the cloth, which is OK, if a little disappointing. However, the material doesn't quite stretch evenly, meaning that the stockings end up wrinkly. For some types of lingerie this is probably acceptable, but you want smooth perfection in stockings and it doesn't quite happen. Worse still, the stockings refuse to stay in place. Within about 30 seconds of wearing them, the stockings started to work their way down Mrs S's ample thighs. And after a minute, Mrs S was left with a look that I can only describe as a kinky Nora Batty - a look which is accentuated by the zip at the back. This to me demonstrates that the designers have been lazy and careless - how difficult would it have been to put a rubber grip in the seam to keep the stockings in place? And while we're on the subject of design, what's with the different material on the feet? I'm sure there's a reason for it, but it just looks plain weird. Don't get me wrong: when these do stay in place they are incredibly sexy. And maybe you like that disheveled look, or maybe you had a thing for Nora Batty. As for me and Mrs S, these will probably get worn on a semi-regular basis (but only when we can't be bothered with the hassle of latex).

I think my review title says it all! Oh my goodness these are wonderful. I've been begging my girlfriend to try wet look for ages and luckily we got these to test, she absolutely hated the idea of wet look clothing but she fell in love with these the instant she put them on! She said they felt great and they were very comfortable, they certainly felt great against my skin too! There were two slight niggles though, the zip was a little uncomfortable for her and dispite being hold-ups they didn't stay up for long, so they had to be worn with suspenders but they looked even sexier with the suspenders anyway, so I'm not complaining! Gorgeous! Hopefully I can convince her to wear more wet-look now. ;)

When I saw this product online I was stoked. They looked sleek & form fitting.The actual product was a flat black & ill fitting. One ended up slippin down to my knee after bout 2 steps.
