I ordered this as valentines day gift. Taking one card a week should last at least a year. If you didn't have a chance to go on real dates (like me) in the beginning of relationships or you're so long together that you need some new portion of it that's what you need! It's not really hard to guess what can be written on the card, some things you wouldn't probably decide to do, like funny things, or planning for nearest future just cause you didn't have time for it. Or you quite busy working to think about that kind of things. More time spending together better for couple! It's perfect gift now while corona dancing around the world. Good to think about important things in this bad times. Good forget it for a while. Good for anniversary or little showing love gift, just to remember why you are together. Why you stay at home with him/her (instead of fighting cause can't handle each other anymore, giggle). Half of the cards is staying in! For now we are absolutely happy with that game. Lovely romantic gift idea

Thanks to Lovehoney for sending me this item to review. The 'It's a date' cards come in a cute little box with hearts on. Opening the lid, I find 52 cards inside, 26 are yellow and called "Going Out" and 26 are pink and called "Staying In". There's a card for every week of the year, hurrah! The little cards are well made and sturdy with a flap on the front which I open to see the suggestion underneath. They are covered in hearts and measure 3" x 2.2". There's a nice mixture of tips for people who like to go 'out out' and for homebirds too. The cards contain romantic ideas to bring love and fun into your relationship. They aren't sex-based, they are for people in a romantic relationship. Lots of the suggestions don't cost anything which I like; for example, one is "find a cosy spot to watch the sunset together". What a lovely idea! The suggestions are varied, some are classic tried-and-tested but there are lots of new ideas too, things I'd never have thought of. I love a date night with hubby, but it always consists of a meal and drinks, so I'm excited to try some of these ideas out. It's a great gift idea for a loved one, or for yourself. It's not kinky so you could buy these for a relative and not be embarrassed!

As a first experience with a LH product I was impressed with the discreet packaging and overall quality of the item when it arrived. The cards are made from a good quality laminated card so once you've made your way through the year they are likely to still be in a good condition to use all over again! There are a good mix of free suggestions and those which require a bit more cash. Likewise there is also a good mix of suggestions that you can just do on the day and those which require a little more planning (e.g. geo-cashing for Going Out and things like indoor camping for Staying In). Because of this we've turned our weekly selection into something to look forward to - taking in turns to pick a card each mid -week so we know what's afoot for date night/day. It's a nice surprise if the partner doing the choosing doesn't tell the other what's been picked too! Alternatively I think the cards would work well if you opened them all and then choose which one you wanted to do when you felt like it,( but that takes away a bit of the excitement!) The cards aren't 'sexual'; instead they're great for romance and bonding. These cards are perfect for any gender matched couple and great for new couples as well as for those who have been together a long time or those who find thinking of things to do together a challenge - the decision is made for you!
