Although initially I was disappointed at the length of it, like many situations I found as soon as I started playing with it that everything would be fine. A beautiful red colour with just enough grab for the beginner in kinbaku without inducing rope-burning terror. I like to tie mine into a little shinju and wear it out occasionally.
