I've never worn any sort of suspender belt before, so I knew Lovehoney was a good place to start since they are consumer friendly and I could re-adjust sizes as needed, since I had no idea quite where to start with belts like these. I usually wore tights that are more common, like a thin pair of pants under whatever you're wearing, though I definitely thought the belt + knee high look was a lot sexier. This was a good price, so I ordered this belt to start with. I wasn't sure about the 'wet look' aspect since I wanted something conservative, but I was willing to give it a go. This arrived in some nice packaging. A plastic zip like bag with a cardboard insert with a photo of the model you see here, wearing the belt. I think it's tasteful though you may not want to leave it lying about if you have children around. The size of the belt is marked twice on the insert, and the belt is contained in a smaller plastic zip bag, rolled up with a sticker of the size on that bag so you really know it's the size you ordered, lovely. I took the belt out before I was in a position to try in on, mainly to see what this 'wet look' was about, and I find it wasn't as flashy as I was expecting it to be - which for me was a plus. It appeared more satin like, definitely shiny but it doesn't border on an extreme latex shine/rubber that I was expecting. The lining of the outside of the belt was similar to that lining you can find on the undershirt camisoles you (ladies) might wear underneath a shirt or blouse if you like to layer up a bit. I think this lining gives the belt a bit more resistance to curling up or suffering additional wear had it not been there. A nice add. The actual satin material of the belt - I think it's not too thin to be flimsy at all though not so thick it'll make you sweat when wearing for awhile, or when things get hot (literally or figuratively, depending on the situation). The suspender straps that hang down are similar to most bra straps as you expect, with the clips on the end to attach to whatever tights (or they can just hang out). The back was attached with hook and eyelets similar to what you'd find on a bra as well, two eye closure here. Looking over the garment, I couldn't find any notable flaws. Material wasn't pilling, stitching was all uniform, construction was symmetrical. It looked to have constructed with care to detail and held up to quality standards most consumers would have. I'm surprised this isn't priced higher but I'm not complaining any :) I finally got to a point where I could try it on. Given my hips and never working with these belts before I thought to be generous and order a 2X. I put this on - I kept my jeans on since I wanted to see how big this was and this was definitely pretty big, the sizing is quite generous. Fully clothed it jeans I easily snapped on this on the loosest hook and could pull this out quite a ways. It didn't slip down right then but it was considerably loose. I wasn't upset, I'd rather have a company be too generous that on the smaller side, at least curvier women like me do. I will have to get around to exchanging this for a smaller size so I can actually wear this piece practically. If I were you I would advise ordering the size below what you were planning to originally ordering to see how this fits for you. It might be big for me but body types are different and it's all about where your weight is distributed. This could be true to size for you. But that's just my advice. All in all, I do like this belt, it's nice to look at and touch, my only real gripe is the generous sizing (which is less of an actual grievance but more of a word of advisory to anyone wanting to try this out). This is made nicely of nice things and I found the price to be exceptional for the build. I would recommend this if you would like to try a new or add to your belted lingerie collected.
